The port of Thessaloniki has been given a new life by a 5-star hotel for visitors that adore refined aesthetics and contemporary art. Entirely designed by Zege architects, The Met Hotel of the Chandris Group is in a dialogue with its context: wavy surfaces challenge the standard hotel typology; the view of the cranes in the port shapes the experience in the rooms. White and black marble, wood and glass create elegant contrasts and discretely demark the different areas in an environment that calls for exploration.
